Arena of Visions, Ndejje 4pm
The Purple Sharks must put the disappointment from last game’s
2-2 draw to bed as they visit four time champions URA at the Arena of Visions
on Saturday.
The boys lost a 2-0 lead to drop two valuable points against
SC Villa while on the same day, URA beat MYDA 3-2 away in Tororo.
Coach Douglas Bamweyana says the boys are focused on the
game and have confidence of picking a decent result as they seek a successive away
victory in the league this season.
“We are confident and feel ready for the game,” he said in a
pre-match conference.
“We are trying to improve and developing as a team and we
are seeing good elements of maturity coming through but it’s not consistent
enough and it’s an area we have concentrated most ahead of tomorrow’s game.”
Team News
Edward Satulo missed the last game while on compassionate
leave but maybe recalled.
George Kaddu still has issues with his licence but if
cleared, he will play a part.
The game comes early for new signing Frank Ssebuufu who has
only started training this week while another new signing Ivan Bogere is still
on national duty with the Uganda Hippos in Mauritania.
Stats
This will be only the second league meeting between the two
sides and we boost of winning the only meeting 3-1 at Wakissha last season.
The other meeting was in the Pilsner Super 8 which ended in
a 1-1 draw before URA edged a penalty shootout.
Kipson Atuheire has scored twice in as many games and faces
his former bosses.
