Lawrence Bukenya and Viane Ssekajugo have been declared fit to start training as the team prepares to kick off preparations ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
The duo was injured towards the end of the aborted campaign and didn’t feature in the club’s final games before the league was called off due to Coronavirus pandemic.
Ssekajugo was badly injured in the 2-1 win over Maroons at Kabaka Kyabaggu with then Maroons goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo stepping badly on him.
The injury meant the forward was dropped from the Uganda Cranes team that was preparing for Chan 2020 although the tournament was later postponed.
“It’s good to have them back in time for preparations for the new season,” said Douglas Bamweyana.
The two were mainstays in the team last season as we finished 10th on the 16-team log in our maiden top tier campaign and also reached the last 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
